Care notes

The 'Umbrella Cichlid' — one of the most beginner-friendly Apistogramma species. Tolerates harder water and lower temperatures than most Apistogramma. Males have spectacular extended dorsal fin rays resembling an umbrella. Yellow 'Opal' variety popular. Less demanding about water chemistry. Great starter dwarf cichlid.

Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
