Care notes
Red Mask variant is stunning — males have red facial marking and elaborate fin extensions. Females yellow with black markings when breeding. 'Red Shoulder' form has orange-red shoulder patch. Hardy among Apistogramma — tolerates slightly harder water. Cave spawner with strong maternal care. Popular in South American biotope tanks.
