Stunning blue-body dwarf cichlid with brilliant yellow fins. Males develop elaborate finnage and coloration. Females turn yellow when guarding eggs. Soft, acidic water essential. Cave spawner — provide coconut shells or small caves. Pair-bonds; male defends territory while female guards eggs. Popular among planted tank and blackwater enthusiasts.

Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
