Care notes

L239. Named for striking electric-blue eyes. Dark grey-black body. A wood-eating Panaque species — must have driftwood at all times or will deteriorate. Produces massive amounts of waste from wood digestion — robust filtration essential. Territorial with own kind.

Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
