Care notes
Males are spectacular electric blue all over — one of the most vivid blue cichlids in the hobby. Females plain silver-brown. Open-water hap that needs swimming space. Males set up spawning territories over sandy areas. Peaceful for a hap — one of the best for mixed Malawi communities.
Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
