Care notes
Also called Weather Loach — becomes visibly active before weather changes due to pressure sensitivity. Extremely hardy and long-lived (10+ years). Loves to burrow in soft sand. Gets along with almost everything. Can breathe intestinal air in low-oxygen conditions. Peaceful but grows quite large.
Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
