Care notes
One of the most striking Malawi cichlids — males are electric blue with orange-red anal fin spots. Females/juveniles are silver-grey. Predator of small fish in the wild (Utaka). Open-water swimmer. Only one male per tank.
Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
