Care notes

The largest gourami species. Highly intelligent — recognizes owners and can be hand-fed. Labyrinth fish. Juveniles are attractively striped; adults turn grey-gold. Incredibly long-lived (20+ years). Often kept in large ponds in Asia. Voracious appetite.
