Care notes

Fascinating flattened body adapted to clinging to rocks in powerful rapids. Often called 'butterfly pleco' for its shape. Requires very high oxygen and strong water current — powerhead or river manifold recommended. Prefers cooler water than most tropicals. Grazes biofilm off rocks.
