Called the 'Triangle Cichlid' for its shape. Closely related to Discus and requires similar soft, warm, acidic water. Often destroyed live plants. Juveniles have beautiful spotted patterns that fade to brown triangle shape as adults. Very peaceful despite size.
Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
