Care notes

The Australian Arowana. Surface predator that leaps for insects and small prey — must have a heavy, secured lid. Mouthbrooder; parents hold eggs and fry in mouth. Legally sold in Australia; import/export is restricted. Similar appearance to Asian Arowana but distinct species.

Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
