Care notes

L-number L046. One of the most beautiful and sought-after plecos — bold black-and-white zebra stripes. Critically endangered in the wild due to habitat destruction (Belo Monte dam). Requires high water flow, warm temps, and caves. Does NOT eat algae. Expensive but stunning.

Check the whole aquarium. Tank size alone does not establish compatibility. Confirm adult size, water overlap, social grouping, territory, diet, and the individual animals before stocking.
