Accessibility Statement
Fishician is designed for use with a keyboard, screen reader, browser zoom, reduced-motion settings, desktop browsers, mobile browsers, and installed web-app experiences. Accessibility is an ongoing engineering and content responsibility rather than a one-time certification.
Supported features
- Skip navigation and semantic page landmarks.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, dialogs, forms, and primary tools.
- Visible keyboard focus and labelled interactive controls.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and hidden treatment for decorative images.
- Reduced animation when the device requests reduced motion; Fishician does not intentionally publish flashing content.
- Responsive layouts and touch targets intended for zoomed, mobile, and installed-app use.
- Written descriptions or transcripts are requested for community video and audio posts.
Known limitations
User-generated images and videos may not always include complete alternative text, captions, or transcripts. Third-party retailer and advertising content is controlled by those providers. Complex aquarium charts may be easier to understand from their adjacent text summaries. We continue to improve these areas.
